Dr. Shiping Bao, the medical examiner who performed Trayvon Martin's autopsy in February 2012, was fired from his position in Volusia County, Fla. last week. During George Zimmerman's second degree murder trial earlier this summer, Bao offered conflicting testimony regarding how long Martin could've survived after sustaining a single gunshot wound to the chest from Zimmerman.
Willie E. Gary, Bao's lawyer, says he plans to file a wrongful termination suit in the near future. In addition, Bao also plans to sue for job harassment and discrimination against the medical examiner's office.
