According to a recent study, Seattle is the leading city in America for online donations for the third year in a row.
USA Today reports that Blackbaud's annual survey found that Seattle was the most generous once again, topping Alexandria, Va. and Atlanta:
None
Steve McLaughlin, director of Blackbaud's Idea Lab, pointed to age demographics and a concentration of people with more disposable income for the rankings, specifically Seattle's. "These cities are the sweet spot for online donor demographics because they have a higher percentage of younger, wealthier and tech-savvy donors," he told USA Today.
For a city that just approved the highest minimum wage in the U.S., this certainly isn't surprising.
