A fundraising party for Trayvon Martin at Bentley's Lingerie Lounge in Greensboro, North Carolina has been cancelled following an overwhelmingly negative Twitter backlash.

"Justice in Memory of Trayvon" must have seemed like a good idea at first, with proceeds going towards a scholarship named after Martin that would be established by the NAACP according to one party promoter.

However, a line on the flyer that read "Everyone free B4 11 with an empty bag of Skittles" immediately called the integrity of the party into question. Then the confusion began.

When it became unclear whether proceeds and empty Skittles wrappers would be sent to the Sanford Police Department or to the NAACP Scholarship Foundation, The Move Tonight Inc. was forced to set the record straight. The money would go to the scholarship, but the Skittles wrappers were for the police.

The party was ultimately cancelled because all of the information was not on the flyer, but this idea probably never should've made it past the development stage.
