Three small children in Fairview, NC were introduced to some age-inappropriate behavior recently. Georgie Brown says that her children—ages 5, 3, and 2—were watching "Lilo & Stitch," which she had recorded days prior using Dish Network. In the kitchen, she heard eyebrow-raising noises. When she checked on her children, she saw a man and woman having sex on the screen.
She rewound the film and saw that picture begin to pixilate before a box reading "part of the recorded event had been lost due to signal loss" appeared. The closing scenes of a porno popped up and played for six excruciating minutes before the credits rolled. Brown says her 2-year-old sat there confused, her 3-year-old started crying, and her oldest child ran out of the room grabbing his ears, screaming "I didn't do it."
David Guttey, a contractor for Dish Network, inspected Brown's cable receiver and said he'd "never once seen that" in his 15 years in the television industry. Worse, the film has had a lasting effect on Brown's children—her five-year-old and three-year-old have been emulating the sex acts they saw on screen. A mother's nightmare.
