An innocent shopper who was simply trying to grab some bananas was met by an aggressive scorpion.
The man was shopping at a Walmart in South Hills, Pa. last Wednesday when he dipped his hand into a box of bananas, then felt a pinch that he didn't expect. When he pulled his arm out in panic, a scorpion landed on the ground. Not your everyday Walmart experience. Operating on pure adrenaline and instinct, he threw a lid over the scorpion and stepped on it.
The man—who had his children, ages two and three, with him—wasn't seriously injured, but still wisely elected to visit a doctor. The Walmart reportedly did not offer to cover his medical fees.
