High School Students Fall Ill After Eating Weed Brownies at School

The student who sold them has been arrested.

Five students were hospitalized after consuming weed brownies at their California high school yesterday, authorities say.

The Associated Press reports that the students, who were all between the ages of 14 and 16, got sick after eating brownies that a 17-year-old sold to them at Richmond, Calif.'s De Anza High School. Two of the students were unconscious when admitted to the hospital, though the Associated Press notes that they're currently conscious in stable, yet serious condition. The remaining three received treatment for nausea and vomiting at the school.

According to Richmond Police Capt. Mark Gagan, the student who sold them the brownies was arrested and charged with suspicion of selling drugs on school grounds, as well as child endangerment.
