To the police officers who witnessed a brother and sister tongue each other down—in jail—after being arrested for methamphetamine possession, the shoplifting incident that put the events in motion probably seems pedestrian.

Last Friday, 25-year-old Charlene Ellet was taken to the loss prevention office of a Porter, TexasWalmart after being accused of shoplifting. After her brother, 26-year-old Cameron Beck, came to her aid, Montgomery County deputies searched their vehicle and found a pen and burnt lightbulb that tested positive for meth.

Following their admission of smoking meth about two weeks back, the siblings were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. They were placed in conjoining cells, then inexplicably began making out as officers filled out paperwork.

When a deputy pressed them for clarity about actually being brother and sister, Ellet explained that their sexual relationship began when Beck was released from jail in November. She insisted it wasn't that strange because they have different fathers.

Unfortunately for them, relations between half-siblings falls under the category of prohibited sexual conduct in the state of Texas, so they were taken to Montgomery County Jail on drug and prohibited sexual conduct charges.

Ellet's children, two-year-old twin girls, were placed in the care of her sister.
