Al Roker, like many parents and children in New York City, is pissed off at Mayor Bill del Blasio for not closing city schools today. Roker did the responsible thing, and by responsible, we mean he let off an extended clup of de Blasio disapproval on Twitter this morning:
De Blasio explained his decision during a press conference this morning, saying that the snowfall exceeded what the National Weather Service originally projected. Roker was having none of it:
According to Gothamist, a reporter informed the mayor of Roker's comments in the midst of his press conference. De Blasio offered a very succinct response: "I respect Al Roker a lot, watched him on TV for many, many years. It's a different thing to run a city than to give the weather on TV." Moving forward, always know that Billy de is good for a caustic response. Roker, of course, had a rebuttal:
At him or dap him, Al.
