Since the first reveal of NBA 2K21 gameplay on PlayStation® 5 consoles, we've all been patiently waiting for the latest details on how the newly-upgraded version of the franchise will look, play and feel.

The game's developers, Visual Concepts, have taken their time to create the most immersive version of 2K to date, having built the game from the ground up to utilise the full power, speed and technology of Next Gen consoles.

The results look absolutely crazy. Captured on PlayStation® 5, the latest trailer for the next-gen version NBA 2K21 highlights new levels in graphical realism and presentation with the game looking certain to serve up the biggest – and most tangible – leap forward in the franchise to date.

2K21's career mode gets a significant revamp. In a franchise first, you can now create your own WNBA MyPLAYER in the Next Gen edition, with players able to create their own fully customizable WNBA player and take her through a pro career featuring all 12 WNBA teams.

NBA 2K21 will also feature insanely quick load times, with the built-in solid-state drive (SSD) of the PlayStation® 5, getting players directly into the action within seconds of hitting the start button.

Next Gen advancements around movement, impact, shooting, dribbling and more lead to an NBA 2K21 experience that blurs the line between game and reality, while offering the most immersive experience of the game to date. There's also a new standard in terms of crowd interactivity thanks to more than 150 AI-powered characters populating the Lower Bowl of the arena.

In addition, the game offers brand new viewer perspectives via the dynamic new Rail Cam presentation, transporting the player to the hardwood floors and providing a full view of the game – highlighting the incredible visual fidelity of the players and arena. Player realism is enhanced even further on this version, with game faces, in-play action and the (now-infamous) sweat levels providing the most immersive 2K experience in the franchise's history.

The next-gen version of NBA 2K21 will be released in the UK on November 19 for PlayStation 5 – you can pre-order the game now from the NBA2k website. Check out some screenshots of all the Next Gen in-game action below.
