"SNL" Fans Make the Obvious Choice for Best Sketch of the 2000s

Do we hear cowbell?

This wasn't even a contest. Saturday Night Live fans were given a poll to select the best sketch of the 2000s. There were plenty of selections available—including "Debbie Downer," "Lazy Sunday," and "Dick in a Box"—but only one true option: "More Cowbell."

The season 25 sketch created an iconic catchphrase that Christopher Walken will never shake and forever changed the way we listen to the Blue Oyster Cult's "(Don't Fear) The Reaper." Will Ferrell stole the limelight from his fictional bandmates and fellow cast members with his exposed, hairy midriff and emphatic instrumentation. But Jimmy Fallon was still able to contribute his superpower of not being able to keep a straight face.

Isn't it nice when voters don't screw things up?
