With E3 only a week out, Microsoft has either jumped the gun or is planning something even larger and Halo related for next week's big to-do.

Whichever it is, with all the focus on Microsoft's recent Xbox One reveal, you may have forgotten that they also own other hardware properties. Halo: Spartan Assault is coming exclusively to Windows 8 device this July. The top-down, twin-stick shooter will be available exclusively on Windows 8 tablets and phones.

The game has a much more arcade feel to it, it is on mobile devices after all, and will once again see you taking control of Sarah Palmer. As the veteran commander from the first two battles of Requiem, you will be commanding battles from a tactical simulator in the top-down outing. Watch the trailer above and let us know what you think.
