After decimating their launch day by earning over $800 million on day one, Grand Theft Auto V has now become the most profitable video game ever released. The title has crushed $1 billion in retail sales in its first three days.
CEO Strauss Zelnick had this to say about the title's success,
"Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment," Zelnick says. "We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto V."
