Sqaure Enix is re-tooling every aspect of its tragically flummoxed MMO, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Starting with it's character creator engine, Square Enix is hoping to completely overhaul the game, and make its struggles a little less dire. Players will now have the opportunity to modify their character's race, sex, class, tail length, and eyebrow pointedness with far more detail.
And if the above screen-shot is any indicator of the character creator engine's capabilities, we will be able to populate the FF MMO with really enthusiastic Michael Cera clones. Thumbs up Japanese Michael Cera super-clone, thumbs up.
What are you guys thinking? Does this overhaul lure you back? Can it help the muddled MMO find its way back? A Realm Reborn is scheduled to go live on PC later this year, with a PlayStation 3 release set for late this year or early 2013. Let us know what you think on Twitter.
