When you're young, cartoons and their lead characters stick by you. Sometimes—and we're talking about Rocket Power here—a character is the cool kid that you wanted to be growing up. Others serve as models for the best friends that you spend your time on the playground seeking out. And others still feel familiar because you can see yourself in the character. (Maybe not exactly like you considering some cartoon characters have superhuman strength or can transform in a wolf or a vampire, but you get the idea.)

What does your favorite cartoon character say about you? From otherworldly aliens to a girl infatuated with butts, these characters act like psychological studies. Mapping your brain with Nicktoons and Hanna-Barbera, here we go.

The only part of life that brings you true happiness is pizza. You were once deemed unfashionable by people in high school, but because of the rise of the hipster culture (which you loathe, obvs) everyone now dresses like you. You couldn't care less: you moved from your small surburban town to a bustling city with a college that has a "fine" (in your estimation) liberal arts program. That's about as excited as you get, publically speaking.

Sometimes you listen to Katy Perry to feel things, but only in private, and only with the blinds closed. Then it's back to Foucault. You have regular sex, and enjoy the poist-coital cigarettes best.

Zim on Invader Zim

HOT TOPIC ALERT: You consider Incubus' "Megalomaniac" to be the best song of all time (it was and continues to be your MySpace profile song). You love the color black and spend more time on your hair than you're comfortable admitting.

In middle school you wrote a research paper about creating a completely docile country, and even provided Lego-specific blueprints on devices that would help do so. That was a good time. You creeped out your teacher and were threatened with regular shrink visits by your parents. They're punks though and didn't do anything about it. Now you work as a middle school teacher. You play Anti-Flag before the kids come in for morning classes and feels like rebellion.

Finn on Adventure Time

Thrills are what you live for. People aren't surprised when you tell them you're a parkour enthusiast, or that you sometimes drive without a seat belt (while listening to Odd Future really, really loud). Your friends know better than to accompany you on your escapades, but they share the same YOLO mentality as you do. (Albeit in a way that has nothing to do with "drinking too much soda.") But for all the Jackass-esque stunts you long to pull, you're courageous, compassionate, and always willing to help someone out.

You probably love the Based God, and may or may not be part of the Bitch Mob.

Bobby Hill on King of the Hill

You were (or still are) that person that plays Dance Dance Revolution with both dance pads, and knows the arrow patterns for at least five different songs by memory. You do you, which your parents don't seem to understand, but you're so comfortable with yourself that you don't even notice.

Sometimes you use food to escape the pressures of life. Where most people eat a pint of ice cream to get over a breakup, you need a full course meal and an ice cream before you begin your post-breakup phase.

Regardless of your questionable eating habits you're just as smooth with your words as you are a knife and a fork. You romance people with little to no effort, exerting a confidence that is unexpected (which makes people want you even more). And don't forget to mention you're a marksman/woman: they'll be eating you like a 72 ounce steak in no time.

Tina Belcher on Bob's Burgers

You think about zombie-on-zombie intercourse at least six times a day (and have daydreamed about making out with a zombie while The Cranberries's "Zombie" plays), which means you're sexually frustrated, sexually experimental, or both.

Your total lack of a filter is admirable to some but disturbing to most, which means you fit right in on erotic fan fiction message boards. You're hoping that your erotic fiction will lead to your own book series, a full-feature film (or an hour and a half softcore porno on Cinemax at least), and someone that appreciates you for you (and has one hell of a sex drive and a nice butt).

You probably get made fun of a lot.

Charlie Brown on Peanuts

#SadBoysMovement and #BasedBoy are a part of your Twitter description. Life kind of dislikes you; it's rare that you have a good day and it's rare that a day goes by without someone taking advantage you. And yet you remain optimistic, believing that the next day will be better and life will finally work in your favor.

You could learn to stand up for yourself, however. There's only so many sabotaged football kicks one can handle. Take a cue from the great Lil Jon and don't be afraid to tell your haters the following: "Don't start no sh*t / It won't be no sh*t."

Judy Funnie on Doug

Where others deny their hipster-ness, you proudly wear it like a badge of honor. Seriously, you literally wear a self-made badge that says, "First Generation Hipster." You are incredibly fashionable though, so people do acknowledge your coolness to a degree. Your favorite song is anything by Bob Dylan, but since he's a major artist you pretend to dislike it at parties hosted by your fellow artsy friends. Sure, you're snobby, but your artistic endeavors and intelligence will probably lead to a a hit indie film.

Riley Freeman on The Boondocks

You're easily influenced by rap culture and have several different aliases that no one refers to you by. You're a big fan of R. Kelly, so much so that you "beat" a district attorney in explaining why the R&B singer shouldn't be confined and put on trial. You're very intelligent and pragmatic when you want to be, manipulating situations to your benefit in hopes that the outcome will not blow up in your face. But it always does.

You're a master of reverse psychology (even though you're unaware that such a terminology exists) and your street smarts have saved you on many occasions. You've heard that you have "so much potential" by everyone around you, but you don't know how to refine your craft. Oh well, back to figuring out the most convenient yet disastrous way of getting that guap.

Patrick Star on Spongebob Squarepants

You're more self-aware than people want to give you credit for, sometimes providing witty remarks and responses that catch people off guard. You're lovably annoying to your closest friends that truly "get" you, but to others you're often a second away from getting beat.

You're a slacker; if you're not eating a burger in your underwear in your apartment that your parents pay for, you're just sleeping the day away and dreaming about eating burgers. You could be a touring drummer or a part of the Jackass team (if you already weren't), but you aren't motivated enough to do it.

Your saving grace? You're a low-key philosophical genius. People laughed when you asked if mayonnaise was an instrument, but maybe you were getting at something deeper.

Reggie Rocket on Rocket Power

You're someone people aspire to be because you've been making a name for yourself since you were young. You were everyone's crush in high school, but you were oblivious to it. You just wanted to be one of the boys! Although some people made fun of your eccentric hair color, they were just jealous that it made them look like a clown while it made you look like a supreme G.

You're spontaneous but to a degree, weighing the pros and cons of something before actually doing it. You give a lot of thought to other people, often trying to stop them from doing stupid crap they'll immediately regret. You bought Avril Lavigne's signature striped sleeve and tie, but as you got older, you became a fan of the likes of Kathleen Hanna and the riot grrrl subculture.

Courage on Courage The Cowardly Dog

You're so selfless that it brings tears to people's eyes. You'd save a person that belittles before saving yourself, which will earn you your own flower effigy made by San Francisco's craftiest hippies. Sometimes you have a hard time articulating your feelings, which is why you often draw certain images that go with how you feel. You're quick on your feet but, like most people, often seek the guidance of a computer on how to handle most situations. You're also very paranoid, which is understandable considering there's multiple people seeking revenge on you. But why? You're Gandhi compared to all these other shmucks.

Shaggy Rogers on Scooby-Doo

You're the best type of stoner ever. People are extremely jealous of your rapid metabolism. You popularized the v-neck but, most importantly, you popularized the "majoring in English" look. You're athletic and loved track, which basically means you were the Michael Phelps of track in high school.

Sure, you're easily scared, but you'll always take one for the team in most situations. You strongly believe that a dog is a man's best friend but this is just due to the fact that you smoke insane amounts of weed, which leads you to think that your dog actually talks.

Otto Rocket on Rocket Power

Tubular, gnarly, and other terms associated with extreme sports culture were your favorite words when you were young. When Scarred first appeared on MTV , you tried to get that video of you breaking your two front teeth at the skatepark on there, even though the show's disclaimer clearly states not to send in home videos.

All you need is an hour with any extreme sport and you basically become a pro at it. Because of this, you have a very large ego which is often put back in its place in the worst of ways. Like that one time you broke your two front teeth after beating someone three times in a row at a game of Skate. Dogtown and Z-Boys changed your life, and your ultimately good nature can be chocked up to your love of listening to Jack Johnson after hitting some waves.

Huey Freeman on The Boondocks

You don't smile much, which is understandable because you're extremely cynical. You tell the truths that no one wants to hear and your views have earned you unwanted attention. You're a big fan of conscious rap, having written your college thesis on Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet.

People believe that you're miserable and therefore want some company in your misery, too, but you just want to inform and educate. Your intuition is on point, but people continue to disregard you. Years from now you will be immortalized in a documentary funded on Kickstarter, where people actually look back on everything you said and realize that you were a revolutionary. Until then, you find comfort in working with the 23 radical leftist organizations you've created, and listening to Elton John's greatest hits.

Marceline Abadeer on Adventure Time

You love Haim and other girl-centric bands. People find you attractive but are intimidated by you, most likely because you create some incredible pranks and you're fearless. Where others have argued that emo is dead, you contiunue to fight the good fight; Taking Back Sunday's Tell All Your Friends can still make you cry years later, and when Paramore announced their Parahoy! cruise you were one of the first to buy tickets.

And you're trying to live the dream, too. You're a member of a garage band and have realized that you best express yourself through music. Someday, you will revitalize rock music and end EDM's takeover. When you're not brooding, you can be found in dingy clubs head-banging and drinking dark beers.

Homer Simpson on The Simpsons

You love doughnuts and believe they're one of the best foods ever created. You're astonishingly insightful but it's extremely rare, with those brief periods of intelligence being overshadowed by longer periods of ignorance and forgetfulness. You're the epitome of an Average Joe—your youthful vigor replaced with a beer belly and love for food.

However, there's multiple qualities you have that always surprise people. For one, you're probably a polyglot, being able to pick up languages in a short amount of time. You're also a talented musician, possessing a singing voice that has the power to bring people back to life.

Unfortunately something has got to give, which is why you're dumb as bricks. Although you have had multiple emotional outbursts and your lack of foresight once resulted in the destruction of your hometown, you're a decent person.

Johnny Bravo on Johnny Bravo

You're a bro in every sense of the word. You were living the gym, tan, and laundry lifestyle before it was popularized. The "Sh*t Frat Guys Say" video is essentially your visual bible, though ou're completely unaware that it's a parody and not something to be taken seriously.

Your narcissism stops people from getting to know you better. Yes, physical upkeep is important, but maybe you should read a book sometime (maybe The Feminine Mystique), and give a woman a reason to go out with you instead of punch you in the nuts. You, too, are also a fan of Corey Hart's "Sunglasses At Night," and often have it playing on repeat when you're using an entire container of gel on your hair.

Spongebob Squarepants on Spongebob Squarepants

Your cluelessness frustrates most people, but you're so kind-hearted that they tolerate you. You're a professional at the most bizarre things, e.g. blowing bubbles, You're very tolerant, even to people that essentially wish you never existed. You can't detect lies or malice, which is why a lot of people consider you naive, but you also have a mischievous side, too, which you often take to an extreme. Remember when you were fired from Burger King for taking that Employee of the Month competition too seriously? Exactly. You're also a nudist, and one of those nature enthusiasts that enjoy running naked through forests. Screw it, you're too obliviousness to bend to societal norms.

Dexter on Dexter's Laboratory

You're extremely intelligent, but more of a Bill Gates than a Steve Jobs (LSD is too intense for you). Oftentimes you're selfish, creating life-changing gadgets and inventions for fame and notoriety, instead of wanting to improve the world. Seriously, the world could benefit from half of the items you've created, yet you keep them in your "hidden laboratory" (read: college dorm or bedroom in your parent's house.)

However, you're not always selfish. If you know you're at fault for something you'll try to fix it, and you care about your family and friends (even if you may use them as test subjects). You're also low-key insane but really, which geniuses aren't?

Blossom on The Powerpuff Girls

You're very smart and often give yourself the role of the leader (something your friends don't necessarily appreciate but don't care too much about either). You're strategic, so what?

When you're not bossing around your friends or being too vain, you like to catch up on a good book or online article. You're an overachiever and have had nightmares about failing a test. Sure, you have your irritating moments, but you are compassionate and caring, which is what matters most.

Beavis on Beavis and Butt-Head

You're an example of why people actually believe rock music kills brain cells, but you couldn't care less anyways. You're submissive and it's pretty rare that you resport to physical and verbal confrontations. But when you do, oh man, it is bad. Sure, that guy didn't have to say that Bon Jovi song you like sucks, but did you really have to kick him in the balls twice?

You're a pyromaniac, and had aspirations of being a part of Ramstein's touring crew, but that unfortunately fell through. That is, you once did pyrotechnics for a local band, and ended up burning down the venue. Aside from this you're actually really nice and optimistic, although you might be low-key schizophrenic. Stay away from the sugar, caffeine and medication pills, dude.

Doug Funnie on Doug

Beck's "Loser" was your anthem, but you're nothing near a loser. However, your insecurities stop you from going through with things, and you care what people think about you when you shouldn't. Your Tumblr account is primarily composed of solemn poems and lines from songs that help you with your insecurities.

On the plus side, you're very imaginative and creative, hoping to one day create a comic book franchise that turns into a billion dollar venture. You play the banjo or some other unconventional instrument which normally shouldn't work in your favor, but you're a good singer, too. You hope that some of the songs you've written will get the love of your life's attention, or, at the very least, the opening spot on a tour with The Lumineers. Everybody else may dislike "Hey Ho," but you're a sucker for foot stomps and relatable and cheesy lyrics.

Gerald Johanssen on Hey Arnold!

Your alarm is Curtis Mayfield's "Superfly." You know that you're cool and everybody else does, too, but you're not arrogant about it. You started a lot of trends in high school and even in college, and you will be forever remembered as the guy that was "fresh until death."

In the love department, you've been known to date older people but it's understandable—you've got game that transcends age. But you're not that tough. You claim to not believe in ghosts, but deep down you're terrified of them, so much so that after watching Paranormal Activity you couldn't sleep without a light on for days. But none of that really matters when you're a badass.

Lisa Simpson on The Simpsons

You are a genius that will change the world. You're a liberal, a vegetarian, a Buddhist, and have already read through Morrissey's biography five times. But there are moments when you are too self-righteous, breaking a norm for the sake of breaking it and ultimately discovering a flaw in yourself than in the norm you broke.

You've always been that person that "acted too old for her age," but this is only slightly the case. You also love, love, love jazz (or any other soft-tempo music of the sort) and own a bunch of vinyls that you listen to while drinking cheap wine.

Bart Simpson on The Simpsons

You were (and still are) a rebel that makes more noise than heavy metal. Afterschool detention was your second home in elementary, middle, and high school, and when you heard such a thing didn't exist in college, you considered going (but didn't).

When you're passionate about something, you're willing to focus all of your attention into it, surprising those around you who often consider you a menace to society. You're also talented in many other ways including cooking, craftmanship , and self defense. (You know six ways of killing someone which instantly leads a person to crap themselves from pure fear.)

Although you can be shallow and often take your pranks a little too far, you are a caring person. You love animals, and even people that you often make fun of. People love people that make not caring look easy and cool, and you're one of those people. Cue Green Day's "Longview."
