When snow and wind descend on your city and life comes to a complete standstill, there’s only one logical thing to do: get really drunk.
Alcohol delivery service Drizly was quite busy yesterday, seeing massive spikes in their order volume as people stocked up for the imminent snowpocalypse. New Yorkers more than doubled their usual Monday order, but they were far behind Bostonians who somehow managed to order 345 percent more than normal.
While a lot of that probably has to do with the fact that plenty of liquor stores and bars were still open last night in NYC and Boston was totally shut down, perhaps it’s time the rest of the nation collectively staged an intervention for Beantown. This is getting serious.
