Carlos Lopez, a stuntman who has worked on a number of popular movies including The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, 22 Jump Street, and Olympus Has Fallen, died early Thursday morning in Portugal after attempting a Parkour trick that went horribly wrong.
One of the neighbors described a grizzly scene, saying “I’ve never seen as much blood. I woke up with the noise, went to the window and saw the young man lying on the ground, on an interior patio we share with the hostel where it happened.”
Lopez apparently attempted to leap from the balcony of his fourth floor hostel room to an adjacent porch, but something went awry and he instead plummeted to a patio below. He was 25 years old.
