"I'm not associating myself with him," Cenat said. "He's not associated with me, I'm not associated with him."

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article included a misidentification of the person being accused. Complex would like to apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

A camera operator who previously worked for Kai Cenat, allegedly named Chris, has been accused of sexting a minor. Screenshots on social media allegedly show the cameraman getting increasingly inappropriate with a then-17-year-old girl who shared her story on X before taking her account private.

The DMs show this individual telling the girl "I actually wanna get to know you," to which she responded, "Aww lmfaoo u cool but respectfully I'm actually 17." They sent direct messages about gaming and going head-to-head on Call of Duty. Screenshots of a subsequent one-sided volley of iMessage texts purport to show this individual graphically describing his fantasy of having sex with her.

The now-19-year-old woman told Cenat—AMP's marquee member—via direct message that the exchanges "happened Dec 2021- Feb/ march 2022."

"Later on it turned out to him being flirtatious and then texting me wild shit u shouldn't say to a minor. During this time I JUST turned 17," she wrote.

Cenat emotionally responded on his stream on Tuesday, saying the woman "showed me every single thing" to convince him her story is legitimate. Kai called the cameraman "somebody who helped me start my whole shit" and "helped me with mad of my streams, mad of my tech shit," but definitively said that as of now, "he's not associated with me, I'm not associated with him."

"Anything that's below the age of consent, you're not supposed to talk to them. It is not cool. ... It's just not right to do, and none of this shit is fucking—you can't have no excuse for it," Cenat, 22, said on his stream. He went on to emphasize, "It's confirmed, alright? All that shit is confirmed and I'm just sick and tired of having to do shit like this. ... I don't know how people are not just seeing something, or like a age or something, and just stopping. ... I'm not sugarcoating shit, the shit look fucking crazy, bro. And the shit fucked me up the whole day, gang. Like the whole fucking day. Shit fucked me up 'cause, like, n***a, what the fuck are you doing? Like what are you doing? Like, n***a, I have a whole vision, how I want—I need to stop crying and shit."

Once he collected himself, Cenat continued, "I'm trying to chill, I'm sorry, chat. This is why people tell me the live shit not the best option, but this is the most real you gon' get me. ... What's the moves going forward? Y’all know I don't fuck with this shit. … I don't like any of this shit to be around me. I don't like this shit. I don't condone this shit. ... It's fucking weird, bro. But you see a certain age, you just stop. It is not that hard. You see something, you fucking stop and you do the right thing, you feel me?"

As far as being done with the person in question, Cenat said, "What's the steps moving forward, bro? I'm not associating myself with him. He's not associated with me, I'm not associated with him. I gotta start doing shit on my own. ... And I reached out to the person and shit like that, and I made sure to get her shit. She wanted to be anonymous and shit like that. So I'm gonna figure this shit out. I'm gonna figure all of this shit out."

Last week, 28-year-old Ava Kris Tyson—who frequently collaborated with another ultra-popular streamer, MrBeast—was hit with allegations that she groomed a teenage boy. MrBeast, 26, responded by saying he was "disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts" and had already "seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast." He added that he'd been "focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts."

Kai Cenat weighed in on the situation on his stream, calling Ava Kris Tyson a "weirdo" and wondering "how you know the age of someone...and still move forward."
