We owe a lot to Judd Apatow for disproving the notion that women can't be hot and funny at the same time. Thanks to the director/producer/writer, who turns 43 years old today, audiences have quickly caught on to the idea that an actress can look like a bombshell and still drop a hilarious shit joke. See for yourself and check out The 10 Hottest Women in Judd Apatow Movies.
Kristen Bell
10. KRISTEN BELL
Movie: Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)
As Hollywood darling Sarah Marshall, Bell was capable of sending her ex-boyfriend into a depression that led to him stalking her in Hawaii. After getting a glimpse of her in that pink bikini, no one in their right mind wouldn't fight to keep her.
Christina Applegate
9. CHRISTINA APPLEGATE
Movie: Anchorman (2004)
As Veronica Corningstone in the Apatow-produced comedy, Applegate proves that women in broadcast news are more than their Tits McGee stereotype. With her quick wit and super sexy power suit, Applegate had our heart just like she did during her '90s heyday.
Leslie Mann
8. LESLIE MANN
Movie: Funny People (2009)
Leslie Mann is Judd Apatow’s wife and all, but we’re sure she didn’t get her roles just by sleeping with the director. Mann’s comedic chops are admirable, and since she's just the infamous “drunk hook-up” in The 40 Year-Old Virgin, we'd rather vouch for her hotness in Funny People as Laura, George’s (Adam Sandler) ex-fiancée.
Kristen Wiig
7. KRISTEN WIIG
Movie: Bridesmaids (2011)
Kristen Wiig’s character, Annie, is absolutely endearing: indescribable sex scenes with Jon Hamm, inappropriate antics on an airplane, not pooping her pants in the bridal shop. How can you not adore her? Plus, it’s kind of impossible not to fall in love with a woman who tries to get a police officer’s attention by driving past his car with no shirt on.
Rose Byrne
6. ROSE BYRNE
Movie: Get Him To The Greek (2011)
Byrne plays Jackie Q, Aldous Snow’s (Russell Brand) pop star girlfriend who helps send him back into addiction after a drunk interview whe she admits that they have a boring life. Of course, what isn’t boring for a pop star who can turn nursery rhymes into sexually suggestive hit singles?
Olivia Wilde
5. OLIVIA WILDE
Movie: Year One (2009)
Continuing with the theme that Judd Apatow always perfectly casts his movies, Olivia stars as the princess of Sodom. She inadvertently causes the men of the movie to destructively lust after her and beg to enter her "Holy of Holies." That sounds just like her in real life.
Kat Dennings
4. KAT DENNINGS
Movie: The 40 Year-Old Virgin (2005)
As Marla in the Apatow-directed comedy, Dennings makes it even more difficult for Andy to lose his virginity. Sure, it was frustrating for the audience, but you can't let mom dukes smash random new dudes that easily, even if she's single and desperate.
Emma Stone
3. EMMA STONE
Movie: Superbad (2007)
It’s the movie that introduced audiences to one of the greatest up-and-coming actresses of this generation. Stone plays Jules, the host of a party that the boys Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) are trying to get alcohol for. The fact that her character was totally cool with being accidentally headbutted by a drunk Seth lets us know how ride-or-die she is.
Amber Heard
2. AMBER HEARD
Movie: Pineapple Express (2008)
Apatow introduced us to Amber Heard as Dale’s (Seth Rogen) high school girlfriend, Angie. Normally, we would think the age difference was weird, but it fit his stunted man-child character perfectly. Plus, we can’t deny that we’d try to date Heard, too. We just wouldn’t get her involved with drug lords.
Mila Kunis
1. MILA KUNIS
Movie: Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)
Kunis plays the dream girl you wish you could meet on your vacations. As the hotel's receptionist, Rachel, she effectively helps Peter (Jason Segel) get over his ex and rub it in her face. Yup. The only way to get over a hot girl is to hook up with an even hotter girl. You may not have noticed her in That 70's Show, but Mila has definitely been on everyone's radar since she showed up in this film.
