Before we're able to weigh in Captain America: The First Avenger, the film's writers, Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus, have revealed that they're already working on a sequel.
MTV chatted with McFeely and Markus about the post-Avengers plans and asked when in the timeline would Captain America 2 take place? Here's what they said:
With actor Chris Evans having signed a nine-film contract to play Rogers/Captain, the World War II angle isn't a far-fetched plotline. It'd be dope if they would venture down the Winter Soldier saga for the third installment of the series. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, McFeely makes sure to explain that the direction of Captain America 2 largely depends on the reaction of you, the audience, when the first installment hits theaters on July 22.
