The provocatively titled The Hand Job already has a solid cast, with Donald Glover (Community), Bill Hader, Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights), Johnny Simmons (Arrested Development) and Mae Whitman (Avatar: The Last Airbender) all on board. The Playlist has learned that Saturday Night Live funnyman Andy Samberg, Aubrey Plaza (Parks And Recreation), and Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) are joining the hilarity.
Maggie Carey, Hader's wife, will make her directorial debut with The Hand Job. Plaza will play an academically driven young woman who's heading to college. She quickly throws herself to the wolves, hoping to lose her virginity and learn all manners of sexual practices. Given the strong comedy line-up The Hand Job is boasting, you'd expect it to splurt onto screens nationwide with ease, but producers Mark Gordon and Jennifer Todd are currently trying to scrape up the cash to get it made.
