The Detroit-based Hornady company hasn't wasted any time in capitalizing off the current "zombie apocalypse" craze. Their newest product: "Z-Max" bullets. "Zombie-Max" bullets, as they're fully titled, are designed to "make dead permanent," and they're selling like there's no tomorrow.

We're not talking kids' toy bullets, either. Z-Max bullets are the real deal, and they're going for $83 - $170 for one box (500 rounds per box). Hornady spokesman Everett Deger told WWJ Newsradio, "We decided just to have some fun with a marketing plan that would allow us to create some ammunition designed for that … fictional world. This is probably one of the only (product) launches that we’ve seen when people who are not in the hunting and shooting industry will go out and they purchase this."

Somebody get the CDC on the horn, stat.
