5 Reasons It's Ok To Watch The Season Premiere of "90210"

You don't have to be a 16 year-old girl to watch The CW, nor do you have to be a tween to get into the debate of whether 90210 or Gossip Girl is better. In fact, we're encouraging you to get into the habit of tuning in to both, beginning with 90210's premiere tonight at 8 p.m. If you could never get into the dramatic high school setting, here's an added bonus (and the storyline in a nutshell): they're all in college now. With that said, check out 90210's hottest ladies, and the primary reasons you'll be setting your DVR for the rest of the teen drama's season.

Zinser's stint as Ivy was originally planned as a special guest spot, but she was promoted to series regular thanks to her acting chops and sun-kissed beach body. The hippie chick is more endearing than the type that roamed your high school campus. The girl you went to school with rocked a hacky-sac and smelled of patchouli, but Ivy just chills in bikinis every week and rips waves on the school's surf team. Oh, and did we mention her character just got married? Tune in for more WTF moments.

Grimes is Annie, the sweetheart from Kansas who gets thrown into the material world of L.A. The “girl next door” had an awesome arc about a leaked nude photo that the whole school passed around. She handled the controversey like a G, smiling in the faces of every hater in the hall. Annie continues to be one of the most interesting girls, bringing darker storylines and stalker boyfriends to the show.

McCord plays Naomi, the classic Beverly Hills rich girl. She doesn’t just act popular; the Teen Choice Awards declared her “Breakout Star Female” in 2009, which led to more screentime for the gorgeous blonde. Her character even has layered storylines that deal with more than BFF backstabbing. She makes it so easy to watch.

Stroup stars as Silver, student, journalist, and half-sister of original 90210 character David Silver. She doesn’t care about school dances and would rather hook up with you in the back of your car. Last season, she even went undercover as a porn star to help her potential love interest. Basically, she's a down ass chick. Count us in.

Lowndes plays Adrianna, the singer who suffers from drug addiction, plagiarizes music, and stars on reality TV. After her experimental lesbian relationship with Gia, Adrianna attempts to steal her ex-boyfriend back from former best friend Silver. She plays the most gorgeous trainwreck we would never dare to look away from.
