MoviePass Films (yes, that MoviePass) has announced its very own Bruce Willis–starring film, 10 Minutes Gone. Deadline reports that it is the production company's first feature since parent Helios & Matheson Analytics bought Emmett Furla Oasis Films. MoviePass announced its film subsidiary in May, following myriad issues with its subscriber-based ticketing business.
Starring alongside Willis will be Meadow Williams, who recently did the movie Boss Level with Mel Gibson and Naomi Watts. Swen Temmel, Sergio Rizzuto, and Tyler Jon Olson will also appear in 10 Minutes Gone, which is set to start production in Ohio in September. It's MoviePass Films’ third project, following the mobster film Gotti with John Travolta, and the thriller The Row featuring Randy Couture and Lala Kent.
10 Minutes Gone focuses on a man who forgets 10 minutes of his memory after getting shot by a stray bullet during a bank robbery gone awry. He needs to find the person who wrecked the heist and stole the money, while also being chased by a crime boss (Willis) who wants the take for himself.
Willis told Deadline he was “excited to be working with producers Randall Emmett and George Furla again with their new venture MoviePass Films.”
MoviePass recently underwent a huge cash deficit. After previously offering a $9.95 monthly subscription service providing access to one movie per day, the company this week announced it will pare way back to three movies per month.
