In celebration of the Big Three's birthday, NBC has unveiled the official trailer for This Is Us season 4.

The video begins with young Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) sitting in a car as they talk about chance encounters and the long-last impact a stranger can have.

"It's so strange, isn't it? How just like that a complete stranger can become a big part of your story," Rebecca tells her husband. "It's actually kind of terrifying, you know? How a single cross with one person who you've never met can change everything."

It's a fitting statement for the new trailer, which provides a first look at the series' new batch of characters. Among the cast additions are Omar Epps, When They See Us co-stars Asante Blackk and Marsha Stephanie Blake, and famed director M. Night Shyamalan. As Deadline reports, the details of their roles have not been confirmed, but the trailer provides an idea of how they're connected to the Pearson family.

"Myself and Milo, we’re picking up where we left off after that fateful road trip out to California," Moore told Deadline about the upcoming season. "We just arrived back in Pittsburgh and we’re trying to figure out how we move forward with our relationship and meet each other’s respective families."

You can check out the new trailer above. This Is Us will return to NBC with a special extended episode on Sept. 24. The Dan Fogelman-created series was renewed for an extra three seasons earlier this year.
