Spider-Man: Far From Home continues to surpass expectations.

The Jon Watts-directed sequel has reportedly earned $185 million in North America since its Tuesday premiere. Deadline reports Far From Home has secured the biggest six-day Fourth of July debut of all time, and has set a new record for Sony's biggest six-day opening. Spider-Man 2 (2004) previously held those records, earning about $180 million within the six-day July 4 launch.

Far From Home has amassed $580 million globally, including a record-breaking Tuesday opening of $39.2 million. The film also posted the second-highest domestic earnings over an Independence Day weekend with $93.6 million; it trailed Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which earned $97.8 million over the 2011 Fourth of July weekend.

Far From Home is the first MCU film to follow Avengers: End Game. The Spider-Man sequel has been praised by fans and critics alike, with many calling it the franchise's best installment.

Far From Home also stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Zendaya as MJ, and Marisa Tomei as May Parker.
