Jadakiss, Set Free Richardson, and More Connect Basketball and Culture at the Compound

Check out Jadakiss, Set Free Richardson, Don C and more chop it up with sports all-stars and commentators inside DraftKings' sports Compound.

Basketball is more than a sport, it’s a culture, so DraftKings tapped the Starting Five lineup to come together and connect all elements of basketball and style while shooting the breeze live from the Compound. The Compound is a spot where art, music, and basketball collide inside a room of five hand-picked creators and the guests that join them.

Previously a gallery in the Bronx, the Compound lives in Brooklyn, a place with basketball culture engraved in its heart. Inside its walls lives the Starting Five, which includes host, music producer, and marketing maven Set Free Richardson, who’s worked alongside some of the most revered names in art and entertainment, and alongside the court; hip-hop icon and award-winning MC Jadakiss; legendary streetwear designer Don C; gambling guru Danielle Alvari; and NBA 2K insider Jamie “Dirk” Ruiz.

DraftKings teamed up with the Compound to contribute to the culture by driving conversations and creating opportunities to engage in a positive space. You’ll see the crew invite different guests to join them inside the Compound for roundtables about the culture, including former NBA players Baron Davis and Rafer Alston, broadcasters Peter Rosenberg and Amin Elhassan, hip-hop producers Buda Da Future and Grandz, and host of others across sports, music, fashion, video games, and yes, betting culture.

As basketball’s go-to hang out, nothing is off limits at the Compound. The Starting Five discusses everything from Jadakiss’ most special albums to Baron Davis being the first L.A. player to hoop at The Rucker

Tune into DraftKings for more conversations around the basketball culture, and check out where they get their inspiration below.
