The foundation for the new Fox series Alcatraz just got a little sturdier. The J.J. Abrams-produced series has hired Jack Bender as an executive producer and series director, making this even more of a Lost reunion than before.
Bender directed 36 episodes of Lost, including the wonderful season one outing "Walkabout" (Locke was in a wheelchair!) and the series finale "The End." The new Fox show—about time traveling Alcatraz prisoners and conspiracies along the lines of Fringe—also co-stars Jorge Garcia (Hurley). All we need is Charlie or Sawyer, and this one's Lost party!
