Just over a month after it was announced, Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for the highly anticipated follow-up to Tiger King.

Picking up where the docuseries’ last season left off, the trailer showcases how Tiger King 2 will provide updates on some of the most interesting subjects featured, including Joe Exotic himself.

“Everybody from the zoo is out there making money, and I’m paying the price for every one of them people,” Exotic says in a phone recording from behind bars.

The trailer also offers a glimpse at how the success of Tiger King has led to some of its subjects becoming celebrities, including Jeff Lowe. There’s a blink-and-miss-it reference to the failed campaign to get former President Donald Trump to pardon Exotic, who was sentenced to prison after he allegedly plotted to hire someone to kill his rival, Carole Baskin.

“The plot to kill Carole is built on lies,” a voice says in the trailer, which also teases further investigation into Baskin’s missing husband Don Lewis.

Ahead of its release, Baskin has already criticized Tiger King 2. “I wouldn’t call Eric Goode or Rebecca Chaiklin true documentarians. I mean that was just a reality show dumpster fire," she said of the first season, which she thinks portrayed her in a negative light. "I think there’s a Mark Twain quote about a lie making its way around the world faster than the truth can get its pants on, and that’s true because people just love a good lie.”

The Tiger King sequel is due to arrive on Netflix on Wednesday, Nov. 17.
