As the world continues to talk about all that went down at ComplexCon this past weekend in Long Beach, it’s on us to sparse through the clouds of gas and smoke to hit you with the real highlights of the weekend.

One such highlight was no doubt Netflix’s booth, which they brought in support of their new show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj

For their booth, the streaming platform partnered with Maria Qamar, a rising desi pop artist and founder of Hatecopy, to create four custom designs for a live screen printing activation exclusively at ComplexCon.  Hit+Run provided the screen printers/services, and the T-shirts were free, so there was a steady stream of people in line.

In keeping with the themes of the show’s creative, the booth was built out and equipped with surveillance cameras, transmitting to three TV screens within the space.  The floor featured a redacted version of the actual government text, leaning further into the utilization of Patriot Act as a double entendre of sorts. A fourth screen also ran the first 2 episodes of Patriot Act on loop, so convention attendees had some premium entertainment while they waited for their shirts.

Check out all the photos from the event here, and don’t forget to catch the new show, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, every Sunday only on Netflix.
