Xbox One owners in Austria, Ireland, and New Zealand still don't have voice commands for their Kinect devices five months after launch, according to a report from Game Informer.
The Xbox One launched on November 22, 2013 in 13 countries. Ten have functioning voice commands. Game Informer points out that even those with functioning voice commands still don't have all of the features:
None
In addition, only US users have full access to the One Guide for TV. Some, but not all, in the UK report having access to it.
“Voice commands are currently available in 10 of the 13 original launch markets including: US, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Canada, Mexico and Brazil,” Microsoft told Game Informer. “We’re working hard to bring voice functionality to additional markets, but have no other details to share at this time.”
Xbox One will arrive in another 26 countries this September. No word yet on how Kinect and voice commands will work in those territories.
