The idea of a live-action Star Wars television show "is ramping up a bit," according to a source via Cinelinx. There was some buzz on the rumor mill that Disney has actively been trying to get the series off the ground.
"I’ll warn you now, it’s nothing Earth-shattering (like plot info or start date), but it does show us about where they are in the process, why we’re hearing about it now, and the (sic)liklihood that we won’t see it anytime in the near future. I’ve heard from a couple sources now that until the film schedules have all been ironed out (we’ve got at least two movies getting that sorted now), the show is in a holding pattern," says Cinelinx.
To maximize costs, the TV show would shoot on the Star Wars film sets in between the movies but the main problem is timing. There's no conclusive evidence, but the story group and development teams are reportedly operating under the idea that a show IS happening.
