If you've seen Crawl in theaters then it's very likely that you've also seen the trailer for The Hunt. After all that was the only way to see it because Blumhouse opted to keep the trailer from being available online. At least until now.

As you can see above, the now more widely available trailer for the upcoming thriller teases the plight of a number of unfortunate individuals who exist in a universe where humans are kidnapped (and then hunted) by a handful of the world's elites. Not content with being hunted, said humans flip the tables on their captors. Hopefully this will serve as a cautionary tale for Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffett, etc.

The original script was penned by Leftovers creator Damon Lindelof, as well as Leftovers writer Nick Cuse. As you'll see if/when you watch, a number of recognizable faces show up throughout the trailer, including: GLOW's Betty Gilpin (a.k.a. the star), Emma Roberts, Hilary Swank, Ethan Suplee, Ike Barinholtz, and Glenn Howerton.

Universal Pictures breaks down the plot like so:

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen…for a very specific purpose …The Hunt. In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a bunch of elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin), knows The Hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman (Hilary Swank) at the center of it all.

Check it out in non-trailer form when it hits theaters on Sept. 27.
