Captain Marvel, just like a number of other highly-received entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a member of the billion-dollar club. But, as we've previously learned, that doesn't mean it's exempt from the infamous CinemaSins take-down. In less than 17 minutes, everything supposedly wrong with the movie is highlighted in a convenient supercut.

It's already off to a bad start when the boilerplate witty banter fight sequence is shown, and from there it's highlighted that the movie takes a long time explaining Carol Danvers' backstory in which she's told she's not good enough more often than is probably necessary. Nothing is sacred, though, as the '90s references are ripped on, as is the placement of the VHS tapes in the Blockbuster store she crash lands in.

In total, CinemaSins deduces that Captain Marvel has a total of 97 movie sins. For reference, they stated the similarly brilliant Black Panther had 105, while the lengthy Avengers: Infinity War had 128. Still, the Brie Larson film reviewed remarkably well in spite of these sins, garnering an impressive 78% on Rotten Tomatoes. While not as universally loved as some of the strongest Marvel movies, it's clear that it has its fans.

Marvel recently announced that Avengers: Endgame will be arriving on VOD on July 13, with a Blu-ray release to follow on Aug. 13. In other words, expect an extended look at the movie sins of Endgame soon.
