Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson Take Relationship Public in 'Harry Potter' Robes

The news comes a little over a week after it was reported the two were seeing each other.

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have made their relationship official on Instagram.

The news comes just a little over a week after it was revealed the two were seeing each other, but that it wasn’t anything serious. On Wednesday, Davidson shared a photo of him and Grande in matching Harry Potter robes, with Davidson wearing Gryffindor and Grande in Slytherin. He caption the photo, “the chamber of secrets has been opened …,” to which Grande responded in the comments, “u tryna slytherin (I'm deleting my account now).” (Ari is a known Potterhead.)

Last week, E! News and People both reported the relationship was just “casual.” Since then, the two have been seen flirting on each other’s social media accounts.

Both Davidson and Grande just ended their previous relationships. Earlier in May, Grande and Mac Miller called it quits after almost two years together, Grande going on to call the relationship “toxic” and “scary.” Meanwhile, Davidson disclosed on Open Late With Peter Rosenberg that he and Cazzie David were “not together anymore” either.

Not everyone has been supportive of Grande and Davidson’s relationship, with some going so low as to question whether Davidson's mental illness disqualifies him from dating. He responded to the backlash via his Instagram story, writing, “Just because someone has a mental illness does not mean they can’t be happy and in a relationship.” He continued, “It also doesn’t mean that person makes the relationship toxic,” adding, “I just think it’s fucked up to stigmatize people as crazy and say that they are unable to do stuff that anyone can do. It’s not their fault and it’s the wrong way for people to look at things.”
