'Game of Thrones' Reportedly Adding at Least 8 Characters in Its Last 6 Episodes

'Game of Thrones' is slated to return in 2019.

The premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones might not be until next year, but as more details about what season 8 will look like continue to surface the fans only grow more impatient. So far, it's been confirmed that the show will see the biggest battle in its history, which reportedly took 55 nights to film, and that the concluding arc will start in an unexpected place. Now, there's information about the eight new characters that will be introduced throughout.

According to Watchers on the Wall, the show's casting department is looking for five new characters for an "improv-heavy scene about haggling over land," which is something that will be new the for the highly scripted series. Additionally, they are also looking to cast a "village girl," a "strapping soldier," and a "clean-shaven, grieving man," for a "highly emotional scene."

There's no telling how these new characters will fit into the six-episode season, as the show keeps everything heavily under wraps. The set is so secretive in fact, that not even stars like actress Emilia Clarke could offer up a sneak peak.
