Binge with caution.

Wow. People actually watch The Ranch?

That was my big takeaway from Netflix's newly released ranking of the Top 20 Binge Raced Shows. Netflix, which typically keeps its streaming data a bit of a mystery, dubs any viewer a "binge racer" if they are prone to knocking out an entire season within 24 hours of its release.

According to current data, an estimated 8.4 million subscribers have engaged in binge racing on the streaming platform. The trend is expected to continue, following a massive increase in so-called binge racers between 2013 and 2016. "There's a unique satisfaction that comes from being the first to finish a story—whether it's the final page of a book or the last, climactic moments of your favorite TV show," Netflix Original Series VP Brian Wright said Tuesday. "Netflix allows you to watch in a way you never could before, and there's nothing better than seeing a show engage our members and ignite a passion for viewing."

Netflix even spoke with some of these accomplished binge racers, including one person who likened stopping in the middle of a season to having their arm severed.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, the four-part sequel to the original WB/CW dramedy series, is apparently the most binge raced show on Netflix. Fuller House, The Defenders, Orange Is the New Black, Stranger Things, and (somefuckinghow) The Ranch also landed in the top ten.

  1. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
  2. Fuller House
  3. Marvel's The Defenders
  4. The Seven Deadly Sins
  5. The Ranch
  6. Santa Clarita Diet
  7. Trailer Park Boys
  8. F is for Family
  9. Orange Is the New Black
  10. Stranger Things
  11. Friends from College
  12. Atypical
  13. Grace and Frankie
  14. Wet Hot American Summer
  15. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  16. House of Cards
  17. Love
  18. GLOW
  19. Chewing Gum
  20. Master of None

In addition to ranking binge-raced shows, Netflix also crunched the numbers to find out the popularity of this streaming behavior in each country. Fittingly, the U.S. is not No. 1.

  1. Canada
  2. United States
  3. Denmark
  4. Finland
  5. Norway
  6. Germany
  7. Mexico
  8. Australia
  9. Sweden
  10. Brazil
  11. Ireland
  12. United Kingdom
  13. France
  14. New Zealand
  15. Peru
  16. Netherlands
  17. Chile
  18. Portugal
  19. Italy
  20. United Arab Emirates

Speaking of shows that are so much more worth your time than The Ranch, the second season of the Duffer Brothers' '80s-set instaclassic Stranger Things hits Netflix Oct. 27. Personally, I recommend pacing yourself. You won't be getting more new episodes for at least a year.
