When Empire premiered, it quickly became a sensation that took America by storm. Now, Empire’s executive producer and co-creator Lee Daniels presents Star, a new series that is sure to capture audiences’ imaginations and hearts just as quickly.
Star follows three talented singers who are all running from their pasts and desperate for a fresh start. With grand dreams of fame, they must navigate the cutthroat music business on their respective roads to success. Those journeys will not be easy, and they all soon realize that great ambition often comes at great cost.
Star features an amazing cast that includes Academy Award nominee and Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe Award winner Queen Latifah, Emmy Award nominee Benjamin Bratt and a trio of talented young newcomers who surely have stardom in their near future. The series also features guest stars Grammy award winner Lenny Kravitz, supermodel/ actress Naomi Campbell and Grammy Award- nominated musician and actor Tyrese Gibson.
