You know that thing when you and your ex are broken up and definitely not getting back together, but you still fly halfway across the world to a Caribbean island to hang out on your their bed and take selfie snaps for the world to speculate on? Haven't we all been there? That's precisely what makes this situation with Kylie Jenner and her ex-boyfriend Tyga, who definitely does not owe her $2 million, is super relatable and totally normal.
Jenner posted a photo of herself laying on a bed to her Snapchat this morning and used a "Kingston" filter, prompting speculation by some that she was back together with the rapper.
As it happens, Tyga has been in Kingston, Jamaica this week filming an upcoming music video.
But, thankfully, TMZ came to the rescue with some clarification on this whole ordeal. The celebrity gossip site reports its sources say that yes, Kylie did go down to Jamaica to hang out with Tyga and offer support while he worked on his video, and yes, that is Tyga's bed that she's shooting snaps on. But no, they are not getting back together. Kylie and Tyga are apparently just friends—the type of friends who still text constantly, go to each other's houses, lay on each other's beds, and fly across the globe for support.
For his part, Tyga recently gave an interview with Big Boy TV where he revealed that he still stings from being overshadowed by Jenner during their relationship. "When you’re in a very public relationship like that, it’s hard for other people to see you differently than that,” he said. “Being in that, it took a lot, career-wise, everything. It overshadowed a lot of my talents and a lot of things that I worked hard for.”
As far as Tyga is concerned, maybe getting back together isn't so important when you've got a small army of Kylie lookalikes to hang out with. And it's probably safe to assume Kylie's family wasn't really enjoying all the awkwardness that came along with their relationship anyway.
