Kit Harington has heard your cries of anguish regarding the fate of Jon Snow, a grave emotional burden that has finally inspired the actor to offer some semi-promising words of encouragement. Though HBO and virtually everyone else even loosely affiliated with Game of Thrones have worked tirelessly to troll the hearts of its audience in the months leading up to the sixth season’s premiere, Harington feels good about offering up what is in theory a potential spoiler but probably doesn’t mean exactly what we think it means. Typical.
"Look, I’m not in the show anymore," Harington told Time Out London on Friday. "I’m definitely not in the new series." This alone may sound eerily similar to the previous rhetoric tossed around by the HBO fam, but—fret not—there’s more. "I filmed some scenes of me being dead," Harington admitted. "It’s some of my best work." When pressed by Time Out to reveal a bit more about Snow's place in the new season, Harington reverted to an old tactic: feigned confusion. "I don't have a clue," the esteemed7 Days in Hell star claimed. "I know how long I’m a corpse for, but I can’t tell you that!"
Of course, the chances of Harington's statements meaning absolutely nothing or absolutely everything are indeed equal. In addition to HBO's aforementioned heart trolling, Harington has previously confirmed and/or denied (what's the different with these guys?) the revival of Jon Snow in a September interview with Humo.
"Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while," Harington told the Belgian magazine, as translated by Reddit user the_narc_died. "I'll probably be in my 30s when it's over." The truth, or some version of it, will be revealed when Game of Thrones returns on April 24.
