Since its debut in 2012, Lena Dunham's Girls has given us much to discuss on Monday mornings — including (but most certainly not limited to) Donald Glover's portrayal of a black Republican, Allison Williams interpolating Kanye West's "Stronger," and that much-discussed sex scene involving future Star Wars icon Adam Driver. With its fifth season looming, the critically lauded HBO series can now add a practically unbeatable brag to its long list of conversation-spurring achievements — presidential clout.

Malia Obama, President Barack Obama's oldest daughter, has reportedly joined the Girls team as a summer intern. Malia was recently spotted on set at Aurora Ristorante in Williamsburg, reportedly working directly with Dunham and the rest of the crew. Malia previously interned on the CBS drama Extant, starring Halle Berry.

According to Dunham, Girls is likely nearing its final season — given her previously expressed desire to wrap up the story in just six seasons. The currently-in-progress fifth season premieres on HBO in early 2016.
