'America's Funniest Home Videos' Banks On Alfonso Ribeiro For New Host

Alfonso Ribeiro, Dancing With The Stars champion, has just won the hosting gig for America’s Funniest Home Videos, the long-running (25 years, to be exact) funny-cute show that brought you all the cat videos you could ever want long before YouTube. 

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star is taking over for Tom Bergeron (also the DWTS host) who ended his AFV hosting duties this past Sunday after fourteen years by riding off into the sunset with former AFV host, and America’s dirtiest dad, Bob Saget

Ribeiro, who will definitely break out the Carlton every chance he gets, lucky for us, spoke to Variety about his new gig,

“I’ve definitely spent a lot of time in the past decade in host-land. I think I’ll be able to really connect with the games they like to play with the audience and with the interviews and banter. I love talking to people.”
