In the midst of talk about Apple Watches and ultra-thin gold MacBooks (word to Trinidad James), today's Apple press conference presented us with an another life changing revelation—HBO Now

As we mentioned a few days ago, HBO Now is the premium cable network's first-ever standalone streaming service. This means that you are no longer tethered to a cable provider, be it a traditional cable box or HBO Go, where you are required to have a cable-provided login to stream content. The new service stands on it's own, allowing you to enjoy all the magic that is HBO without even having a home.

Despite bypassing some of the normal headaches that come with premium cable, you will need to have an Apple device such as Apple TV, an iPad or iPhone. You're also gonna need some money—but for only $14.99 you can go from trying to front like you've seen The Wire to binge-watching Girls, and hating yourself like the rest of us.

The service will be on available on April 12, just in time for the Season 5 premiere of Game Of Thrones. Check out the video above.
