Eddie Redmayne already won an Oscar for radically transforming himself for a role, so maybe he's going for No. 2?
The Theory of Everything star who recently got the Academy Award for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking is going to play one of the first people to ever undergo sex reassignment surgery in The Danish Girl, based on the novel of the same name.
That novel is a fictionalized account of the life of Lili Elbe, who had the surgery back in the '30s and died after an attempted uterus transplant.
Redmayne told The Daily Mail that he's working with the same woman who helped him get into the Hawking role.
