Guardians of the Galaxy was the role of a lifetime for Chris Pratt. It transformed him from the loveable idiot in Parks and Recreation to a bankable superstar, opening up a buffet's worth of options for his next movie. Pratt has had months to bask in that Star-Lord glow, but he still hasn't made his next move.
That could finally be changing.
Pratt is reportedly in early talks to play the titular character in Universal's movie adaptation of Cowboy Ninja Viking. The film will be based on a comic about group of multiple personality disorder patients who are transformed into agents in a counter-intelligence unit. Duncan, the comic book's main character, is able to utilize his three different personalities to channel the powers of a cowboy, ninja, and Viking. When his fellow agents go rogue he, the deadliest of them all, must track down his former colleagues.
Universal still hasn't hired a director, which could explain why Pratt hasn't yet signed on to play the lead. But he hasn't shied away from showing his interest, as shown by the tweet he posted today:
“@jbkelly80: @prattprattpratt pic.twitter.com/lNR1NYxT56” YES! But who is our director? That is the question. Who do u think it should be?

That should put the pressure on Universal to lock down a director that piques Pratt's interest. It isn't the only studio fighting to put him into his next blockbuster.
