Nick Cannon is teaming up with cable network SyFy, but sadly it won't involve him being eaten by a Sharknado.

Cannon's production company NCredible Entertainment will produce a one-hour weekly sci-fi and fantasy improv series for the network, Deadline reports.

Cannon is no rookie to the improv game, of course, and we can assume this new show will be something like his MTV2 improv series Wild 'n Out, except maybe droids or Star Trek or something.

The series will be taped in front of a live audience and will involve a regular cast competing against a different improv team each week to create sketches with sci-fi and fantasy themes. The show plans to start casting those "away" teams this summer.

Cannon is a busy dude right now. He's currently hosting America's Got Talent on NBC, while NCredible is producing the series Teen Nick Top 10 and React To That, plus a sequel to Drumline that's in the works.

He's also rumored to be playing Richard Pryor in an upcoming biopic.
