At E3 last year a spooky little game called Daylight was announced for PlayStation 4 and PC. Now developers have revealed that upcoming horror game – to be released on April 8 – will have integration with Twitch on PS4 to allow viewers to type in certain terms and have the game react!

The feature allows for Twitch viewers to type in a term such as “meow” and the game would react in undoubtedly creepy ways. The streaming option will be timed to prevent spamming and players will have to experiment to discover the full list of keywords themselves.

"Streaming has been a huge boon to the PS4 community, and the devs want Daylight to have an involved relationship with livestreams," social media wizard Ryan Clements wrote in the PS Blog. "The hope is to allow viewers to control the actual scares in a streamer's experience, providing a much more interactive dynamic between player and audience."

Daylight centers around a character who finds themselves lost in creepy locales with much of the games light provided only by an all to real, in-game cell phone. It also features “procedurally generated” scares. Meaning that every time gamers play through it will change in response to their actions.

Twitch has seen a huge uptick in interest in views playing the actual games they are watching as thousands of “Twitch Players” simultaneously attempted to control a game of Pokemon Red and earlier this week were fighting it out in Tekken 3 all using chat commands.
