Kickstarter is, once again, providing a platform for smaller production studios to develop titles independent of traditional publishing models.
2014 is going to be huge for crowd-funded projects. With titles like Hyper Light Drifter,Mighty No. 9, and the newly pitched To The Death. Former developers from Call of Duty, God of War, and Respawn entertainment have turned to Kickstarter to fund a new project that looks to blend elements of beat-em ups and first-person shooters. The game promises to run at 60 FPS with 360 degree combat. The story centers on two warriors that refuse to accept death until their vengeance has been realized. The devs plan to bring the game to Steam on PC, Mac, and Linux.
