Apple's calculator app gets the job done, but why not use something better? SpyCalc is a working calculator that stores pictures, videos and documents that you don't want everyone to see, while also helping you with your math homework. SpyCalc costs $1.99 and is available for iPhone and iPad.

The friends who actually want you to know where they are will simply tell you, no need to secretly stalk them through an invasive app.

Put this app in your "Hide" folder along with Calendar. 

Apple's built-in Calendar app isn't that great. iOS 7 brought a lot of much-needed features, but apps like Sunrise and Fantastical are much better options that look stylish and are efficient at keeping you updated on the coming days, weeks, months, and into the year. 

Mint is a great financial service, but it can get complicated. New finance app, Level, does everything Mint does and gives you a better idea of how much spending money you actually have available. Level is free and available for iOS. 

Angry Birds is so 2009. Try out some new games to get your fix. Asphalt 8 is available for free on iOS and Android; Cut the Rope is available for $.99 on iOS, with an Android version coming soon. Slayin 2.0 is available for $.99 for iOS owners.

Unless you're a business person and your employer uses Box, there isn't really a reason why you shouldn't use Dropbox. Dropbox's app looks much better and people are more familiar with it. Need to share something over Dropbox? Whoever you need to send it to may already have an account ready to go.

Save yourself from an embarrassing situation in the near future. There are dozens of websites that get their traffic from posting embarassing snaps of people—don't feed them.

Pandora doesn't give you the option to pick your own songs like apps such as Spotify.

If you already have Google Chrome, you can just search from there. Clear up some space and get rid of the Google search app. The only other Google apps you should have other than Chrome are Google Drive or Maps. 

The official Twitter app is decent, to say the least. Sure you can follow along with Tweets, but apps like Tweetbot offer a much better experience, packed with features to help you stay up with Tweets. Tweetbot is available for iPhone for $4.99 (trust us, it's worth the price if you're a Twitter poweruser).
