Violent flare ups surrounding video game releases, sadly, aren't a new phenomenon.

During Grand Theft Auto V's London release, a man was stabbed and hit with a brick before his copy was lifted. Luckily, he survived the mugging.

Today we learned that an Orlando, Florida man is being listed as the first murder associated with the PlayStation 4. According to police, Johnson was shot during a PS4 sale gone fatal last Sunday.

Orlando Police Department stated that Emmanuel Johnson, 25, had arranged to meet an unidentified 22-year-old in order to purchase the console. It was agreed that the two would meet outside the OPD headquarters. At the last minute the meeting location was changed to a new location where Johnson was shot and killed.

There have been no arrests made and the suspect remains at large.
