If you're not already a diehard Japanese role-playing game fan, there's a good chance you've never played any of the Persona titles.

Niche as they may be, the series has small but fiercely devoted following. Atlus most recently released the thoroughly enjoyable Dragon's Crown, but the Persona series has always had held a special place in the JRPG world, regardless of the series never cracking the mainstream gaming world here in the West. Atlus announced not one, but four new Persona games heading to the U.S. in 2014.

Persona 5 will be heading to the PS4 in 2014, and the first trailer is posted above.

The Nintendo 3DS will also get a new Persona title. The appropriately wordy Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth which has a distinctly different look from past Persona titles.

The third title, a Persona fighting game, Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, will also be heading to the PS4 with no Western release date given...yet. And finally, in a surprise move to nearly everyone, a Persona dancing game. Persona 4: Dancing All Night is probably the most Japanese name for anything ever invented. Four brand new games all thanks to Atlus and hopefully we will see most of these with Western release dates.
